Pricing
What you are buying, how it is billed, and who carries which risk.
This page is here to filter rather than to attract. Read it and you should be able to tell — before you email us — whether we are in your range and whether the way we work suits the way you buy.
How we charge
Three engagement models, and when each one is honest.
Which one applies is a question about your problem, not about our preference. On the first call we say which of the three we think fits, and why the other two would cost you more.
Fixed price
Day rate
Monthly retainer
Two things we never bill for: the first 30-minute call, and a margin on somebody else's licence. Akaunting licences, App Store apps, hosting and integrator fees you buy and hold in your own name, at list price.
Fixed-price packages
The three ways to start small.
Each one is timeboxed, each one produces a document you keep whether or not you continue with us, and each one is credited against the engagement it leads to.
Akaunting Health Check
Quoted after assessment
Five business days. A written report on the version you are on, the modules installed, the hosting pre-flight, the real state of your backups and your licence-tier exposure — plus an upgrade plan in the order it has to happen.
- PHP checked on both the web and the CLI path, with the extension list
- proc_open, memory limit and max execution time verified rather than assumed
- Backup and restore tested, storage attachments included
- Licence tier stated in writing against your actual user and invoice counts
- A sequenced upgrade plan, with the reports that need re-checking afterwards
Installation & Hardening
Quoted after assessment
Three to five days on a clean server; longer if we are adopting a host that fails pre-flight. Production Akaunting rather than a demo: the parts that silently do nothing are proven to work before handover.
- Correct PHP for HTTP and CLI, TLS, APP_DEBUG off, a real APP_KEY
- Cron proven by test-firing recurring invoices and reminders
- SMTP with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and a test invoice that actually arrives
- Database and storage backups with a documented restore test
- A second break-glass administrator and a written licence-tier statement
Discovery & Fixed Quote
Quoted after assessment
Paid and timeboxed. We sit with the people who do the work, write down the process as it actually runs, and come back with a scope, acceptance criteria and one fixed price for building it.
- Sessions with the people who use the thing, not only the person buying it
- The process as it runs today, written down and argued about in the open
- Scope with acceptance criteria, and an explicit out-of-scope list
- A fixed price and a duration for the first release
- A document you can take to another studio if you would rather
We do not take every job. The amount and scope are settled on the first call, according to the size and seriousness of the work. If a job falls below the scale we can do properly, we point you to the right place instead of taking it.
Starting prices for these packages are being finalised. Ask on a call and we will give you a number, not a range.
Ongoing
Maintenance, tiered by response time.
Every other package leads here, so it is worth being precise. The tiers differ by how fast you get an answer and how much change is included — not by which features you are allowed to have.
Watch
- Uptime and error monitoring, with the alerts coming to us
- Backups verified monthly, not merely configured once
- Dependency and security updates applied on a copy first
- A monthly written report naming the version installed and what was checked
- Response: Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00 (Türkiye time); the exact window is written into the agreement
Maintain
- Everything in Watch
- Version upgrades: staged copy first, core before apps, rollback tested
- A post-upgrade pass on the reports that genuinely break
- A monthly change allowance, with the amount written into the agreement
- Response: Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00 (Türkiye time); the exact window is written into the agreement
Operate
- Everything in Maintain
- A named contact, in Turkish, during Turkish business hours
- A quarterly live restore drill, with the report to show for it
- An annual planning call: which version is next and which risk is real
- Priority response: Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00 (Türkiye time), ahead of the other tiers; the exact window is written into the agreement
What a retainer covers
- Monitoring, error tracking, and the alerts landing with us
- Staged version upgrades: the copy first, then production
- Dependency and security updates
- Verified backups and a live restore drill
- A monthly report naming the installed version and the checks performed
- Small changes inside the allowance written into the agreement
What it does not cover
- New features and new modules — those are quoted as separate fixed-price phases
- Licence and App Store fees, which you buy and hold in your own name
- Server and infrastructure costs
- Your mali müşavir's opinion: we build and maintain the integration, the fiscal opinion is theirs
- Recovering data from a backup that was never being taken — we tell you before you sign, not after
- Work outside the stated response window, which is quoted per incident
How a number reaches you
Nobody quotes on the first call.
A price given before anyone has looked is a guess in a suit. Here is the sequence instead.
- 01
Discovery call
30 min, freeWhat you have, where it hurts, and whether this is work we should be doing at all. No price is given on this call, because any price given on it would be invented.
- 02
A paid, timeboxed assessment
Health check or discoveryThe health check on the Akaunting side, the discovery on the software side. Both produce something written that stays yours, and both are credited against the work if you continue.
- 03
Written scope and a fixed quote
Within 2 business daysWhat is in, what is explicitly out, the price, the duration, the deliverables, and every term below — in writing, before you commit to anything.
- 04
Invoiced against named milestones
Against work, not a calendarYou pay against things that exist rather than against weeks that have passed. The milestones and the payment schedule are in the quote, not agreed later.
Terms
Currency, tax, and whose name is on the invoice.
The figures depend on the scope, so they live in the written quote rather than here — before you commit to anything. This is what that quote will spell out.
- The invoicing entity is Lokum Tech LLC. That exact spelling appears on the quote, the contract and every invoice.
- The invoicing currency is stated in the quote, along with which exchange rate and which date apply when you pay in another currency or in TL.
- VAT / KDV: the tax treatment for clients inside and outside Türkiye is set out in the quote.
- Payment terms — deposit, milestone payments and net days — are set according to the size of the work and written into the quote.
- The quote states what is out of scope as plainly as what is in it.
- Change requests are quoted before anyone starts them, never absorbed and billed afterwards.
- Third-party costs — Akaunting licence, App Store apps, hosting, integrator fees — are bought and held in your name at list price. We do not resell licences and we do not add a margin to them.
- Lokum Tech LLC is a US entity. How that works for invoicing a company in Türkiye is written out in the quote, and we would rather you put that quote in front of your mali müşavir than take our word for how it lands in your books.
